Robin Gosens’ move to Inter is paying off.
Of the FC Fortuna Elten is looking forward to a whopping cash injection. The club benefits from the move of Robin Gosenswho played for his hometown club as a boy Inter Milan. The national soccer player made a name for himself almost six months ago when he switched from Atalanta Bergamo to the Milan star ensemble within the Italian Serie A. Although the Eltener was first loaned out by Inter, the change officially took place on July 1, so that the transfer fee is also due. Inter Milan have to pay around 25 million euros to Bergamo for the 28-year-old, who is desperate to take part in the World Cup in Qatar with the German national team at the end of the year.

And now Fortuna comes into play. “A lawyer pointed out to us that we, as a training association, are entitled to compensation,” says Karin Roes, manager of the village association. As is well known, Gosens started his career as a footballer with Fortuna. Roes cannot yet estimate exactly how much money will flow into the club’s treasury. The first installment is said to arrive in August. “We assume that almost 7000 euros will go into our account. We expect further payments of this amount in the next two years,” says the managing director.
It remains to be seen whether further payments, which depend on Champions League appearances and goals scored by the attacking defender, will be due.
