Fortuna Düsseldorf wants to sign former Schalke striker
As the Bild reported that the Düsseldorf officials around sports director Klaus Allofs want to bring Benito Raman back to the state capital. Raman had already played for Fortuna from 2017 to 2019.
Then S04 struck and paid a whopping 10 million euros for the now 29-year-old Belgian. But after a decent first half of the year, Raman was part of the Schalke team in his second season that suffered a historically bad relegation to the 2nd Bundesliga.

The fast right-footer then moved to RSC Anderlecht in Belgium for 3 million euros – one of many big loss-making deals for the “Knappen”. Raman has been under contract with Samsunspor in Turkey since February 2024, after there had previously been rumors about the ex-Schalke player moving to VfL Bochum.
But at Samsunspor, where former Schalke coach Thomas Reis now works as a trainer, things are not going well. Bild reports of “quarrels” and the club’s desire to get rid of the player. They are only asking 500,000 euros for Raman.
