Fortuna Düsseldorf Fans Fined 13,300 Euros for Bottle Throwing Incident

Fortuna Düsseldorf has to pay a fine of 13,300 euros in two games due to the misconduct of its fans. The DFB also punished the throwing of the bottle at FCK striker Ragnar Ache.

The game between Fortuna Düsseldorf and 1. Throwing bottles against the FCK

However, the Düsseldorf supporters clearly overdid it in two situations. Lautern’s striker Ragnar Ache was hit in the head by a plastic bottle in the 30th minute while celebrating FCK’s third goal. The game had to be briefly interrupted to treat Rache, who had fallen to the ground, but the Palatinate offensive player was able to continue playing.

And immediately after the break in the game, a Düsseldorf spectator threw a firecracker into the interior in the 51st minute, and as the game continued, the home supporters lit two Bengal fires.

The Düsseldorf supporters also set off such fireworks at the Fortunen cup game against third division club Unterhaching at the end of October – there was also a lot going on on the pitch, coach Daniel Thioune’s team won 6-3 after extra time.

The DFB imposed a fine of 13,300 euros for all three offenses; the second division club agreed to the verdicts and they are therefore legally binding.
