Digital enema children with the professionals via video switch
Fortuna Düsseldorf once again makes children’s eyes shine. In the convincing 2-0 home win against FC St. Pauli, 16 children from the Fortuna KidsClub supported the team digitally. For the first time since the beginning of the Corona crisis, the little red-and-whites were back “up close” with the team.
The kids witnessed the arrival of the Flingerians live in the stadium via a video conference on a large TV. Each player took a moment to greet the children who were running in. Some players, like family man Rouwen Hennings, stayed a little longer to be able to talk a little with the little ones. Even after the obligatory site inspection, a few of the players strolled back in front of the screen to chat briefly with the kids.
It got even better for the children afterwards. While the team was preparing for the game, Jamil Siebert, Dennis Gorka and Andre Hoffmann took some more time for the little ones. For 15 minutes, the three professionals who were not part of the squad due to their injuries answered the kids’ questions and made for lots of happy faces. In a friendly exchange, “moderator” Andre Hoffmann asked the little ones for tips for the upcoming game, and the trio also answered questions about rituals before the game and their first coaches as professionals.
At the end everyone voted together a loud “Fortuna Düsseldorf!” what happened at the same time as the arrival of the St. Pauli team bus. So the guests knew straight away what to expect …
