Fortnite Sends Off Chapter 5 With Star-Studded Concert Tribute to Juice WRLD
Fortnite concluded its Remix season and Chapter 5 with a bang, hosting a massive in-game concert event that drew over 14 million players. The spectacle featured performances by music icons Snoop Dogg, Eminem, and Ice Spice and culminated in a touching tribute to the late rapper Juice WRLD.
"Remix: The Finale," as the event was called, saw a record-breaking turnout, according to Fortnite’s official Twitter (now X) account. Fortnite.gg, a website that pulls data directly from the game, confirmed a peak player count of 14,343,880 during the headlining event.
Unlike the season’s opening concert which was a live broadcast from Times Square, "The Finale" was a fully immersive digital experience within the Fortnite universe. The event kicked off at 7 PM UK Time (2 PM ET) on Saturday, lasting approximately 15 minutes.
For those who missed it, an encore performance will be held later tonight, November 30, 2024, at 8 PM ET / 5 PM PT.
The journey started at Snoop Dogg’s headquarters, "The Doggpound," a revamped version of The Agency at the heart of Fortnite’s Battle Royale map. A towering digital Snoop Dogg kicked things off, performing "Drop It Like It’s Hot" against the backdrop of The Doggpound. The Doggfather then took fans to space, where a cel-shaded version of himself belted out his fresh track “Another Part of Me,” featuring Sting.
Eminem followed, taking a ride on a Fortnite Battle Bus as Snoop Dogg blasted away, performing his song with Rihanna, "The Monster," and his more recent hit, "Houdini."
Next, Ice Spice commanded the virtual stage, captivating players as she crooned “In Ha Mood,” leading them across moonlit rooftops.
The grand finale was a heartfelt tribute to the late rapper and Fortnite enthusiast, Juice WRLD.
The stage was set where Juice WRLD first appeared in-game earlier last week.
Players were treated to the world premiere by missing rapper of the previously unreleased track "Empty Out Your Pockets" and concluded with his iconic hit, "Lucid Dreams." As the final chords faded,
players could also watch the official music video for “Empty Out Your Pockets,” fully produced within the world of Fortnite.
