The Fortnite island is changing once again. With the updates in this latest season of “Fortnite OG”, the island will look very familiar to long-time fans.
Reported The Verge on Friday (3/11/2023) local time, game The company just launched its newest season, dubbed “Fortnite OG.”
Reported Between, Epic Games as the developer said this game will be updated regularly throughout the season. They explained that every major update will present a different phase from the past battle royale.
For starters, Fortnite OG will be focused on Act 1: Season 5. That means the return of the Tilted Towers (which were famously demolished in 2019), bringing back classic weapons like the shotgun assault rifle, pump shotgunand hunting rifleas well as returning the vehicle as shopping cart and the all-terrain kart.
The rest of OG will be discussed in later chapters. On November 9, there will be a themed update season 6 (which means quadcrashers and six-shooters).
Then on November 16 it will be discussed season 7 and 8 (plane Stormwing and mini guns), then November 23 will cover seasons 9 and X (jetpack and Baller).
It seems season it will also recall some of the live events that define the game period.
Like the rolling cubean erupting volcano (erupting volcano), or the black hole that ends it all, the black hole.
This season is also different, as it is much shorter than usual. While a typical Fortnite season lasts around three months, Fortnite OG will only last four weeks.
Therefore, battle passwhich this time is called the OG pass, will feature 50 unlockable items, half of pass normalbut will still cost the normal 950 V-bucks.
Players will be able to unlock 1,000 V-bucks if they complete the pass, and it remains free for Fortnite Crew subscribers.
Of course, the in-game store will also feature what Epic describes as a “curated selection of classic items, mashups, and new items” for purchase.
This major overhaul comes during a particularly tumultuous period of change for Fortnite and its developers.
Game it underwent a shift towards user-created experiences, while also facing price increases, the departure of creative lead Donald Mustard, and massive layoffs at Epic Games. (ant/saf/iss)
