Fortnite is currently offline due to outage – Gaming – News

The popular battle royale game Fortnite is currently not playable. Due to a malfunction, the game is completely inaccessible. Developer Epic Games says it is aware of the problem and is working on a solution.

Epic Games reports on its status page that the outage affects several aspects of Fortnite. This includes the game itself, parties, friends and chat features, matchmaking and the item shop. Players are also currently unable to log into the game; the Epic Games Launcher temporarily showed a notification that Fortnite’s servers are offline. The game can now be started, but players will still see the message ‘login failed’.

The game appears to have been offline for several hours. epic games reported at 5:13 p.m. Dutch time to investigate the server problems and since 5 pm thousands of reports have been received on Allestoringen.nl. Epic Games is currently not providing an indication of when the issue is expected to be resolved. The company indicates that it will provide more information as soon as there is a solution to bring Fortnite back online.
