Fortnite has in recent weeks gone back to the beginning, with what Epic Games calls Fortnite OG. As everyone expected, however, this was only a temporary stop on the way to something completely new, and now the developer has opened up a bit about what players have in store.
Saturday 2 December, at 20:00 Norwegian time, marks the start of The Big Bang. This is an event in the game, not unlike what the developer has put together in the past, which players can join in and follow directly.
The Big Bang doors open half an hour before the start of the event itself. Players can participate in groups of up to four, Epic explains on the game’s website.
According to the developer, the event marks a new beginning for Fortnite. Exactly what that means remains to be seen, but digging into the game’s files has apparently uncovered a few more details about what The Big Bang is all about.
Twitter user «Hypex» – known for his early unveilings of Fortnite news – writes that the file size indicates that this will be the biggest event in Fortnite ever. Hen further writes that both Eminem and Lego are involved in The Big Bang, as well as new modes such as Rhythm Mode and Racing Mode.
Lego even hinted at something Fortnite-related, with a picture of a clumsy Fortnite llama on Twitter.
