February 11, 2021 – The prevailing winter conditions in North Texas led to a gigantic vehicular carom shortly before dawn on the I-35 freeway in Fort Worth, which left a fatal balance and dozens of injuries, authorities reported, pointing to the presence of ice and possible “speed” as main factors.

The driver managed to get his vehicle to safety and was able to help several drivers, but he saw first-hand how a woman died when she was hit by a transport vehicle.
After 10 a.m., Daniel Segura, a Fort Worth police spokesman, confirmed the death of at least five people after the accident massive. The figure, however, rose to 6, according to a report offered at 4:30 pm by various municipal authorities, who indicated that 65 people were treated at the scene or in area hospitals because of the vehicular carom.
The mayor asked the public to pray for those affected. No official offered details about the treatment given to the section of the 35W highway before the spectacular accident and a thorough investigation is expected.

The Fort Worth Fire Department announced shortly before 2 p.m. that 36 people had been transported to hospitals and that the scene would remain active for several hours. Of these, fewer than 20 were still hospitalized as of Thursday afternoon.
Many of those served are health sector workers, according to Zavadsky. The official said they saw “a large number of people who were victims of this accident who were wearing gowns and had hospital ID’s.”
According to WFAA, four policemen were also injured in connection with the tragedy, three were driving to work and one was affected while responding to the scene.
