Starting from pole position, Nick Cassidy (Envision) won the first race of the Formula E weekend in New York on Saturday afternoon, after a hectic test. The rain was invited in the New York sky causing a pileup while there were ten minutes left before the end of the race. Cassidy himself and the Belgian Stoffel Vandoorne (Mercedes), 4th, lost control of their vehicles.
