Sébastien Buemi (Nissan e.dams) ended Formula E season 6 with a 3rd place in Berlin. The Vaudois was only beaten by the Mercedes of the Belgian Stoffel Vandoorne and the Dutchman Nyck de Vries.
Buemi therefore failed to celebrate a victory in this sixth and final race at the old Tempelhof airport. “We weren’t fast enough against the Mercedes. We tried with different settings, but it didn’t work,” explained the Swiss driver. “We had a clean race. Well, my second attack mode may have been taken a little too early,” he added.
With four podiums in eleven races, the Vaudois nevertheless showed good consistency throughout the season. He finished 4th in the final row. This is only the second time that Buemi has finished a Formula E championship without a win. The previous one went back to season 4 (2017/18), where he had already been 4th in the championship. He finished in the top 3 in all other seasons, with one title (2015/16) and three runner-up places.
The other Swiss taking part in this final event were more discreet. Only Edoardo Mortara (Venturi) entered the points by placing 10th.
