Formula 4 at Road America: Double podium for young Canadian Alex Berg

Rookie in the American Formula 4 series, Alex Berg, 15, had a fruitful weekend at the famous Road America circuit in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin during the second round of the championship. After a strong series debut at NOLA Motorsports Park a few weeks ago, the Doran-Kroll Competition team secured its first series podiums at Road America.

“Alex Berg had a great weekend finishing on the podium twice and in the points in all three races. We will continue to maintain our level within the team by evaluating the results and the progress that we can achieve for the 2022 season,” explained team owner, Quebecer François Doran.

After a sixth-place finish in qualifying, the son of former F1 and F2 driver Allen Berg moved up three positions once the race started and held on to third place to claim his first podium in the series. and the team’s first national-level podium in 2022.

Berg returned to the podium on Sunday earning another third place in as many races. He also completed faster laps than the leader during the race. Returning to the track on Sunday afternoon, Berg finished the final race of the weekend with a Top 6.

The third stage of the United States F4 Championship will take place on the Mid-Ohio circuit at the end of June.
