Here too, it is a discussion that will probably never end. But now a debate has suddenly broken out in Formula 1 as to who is the best driver between Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton. Experts can’t decide. Opinions differ.

Verstappen currently has 44 wins, 64 pole positions and 92 podiums fewer than Hamilton. That’s why ex-pilot David Coulthard calls him “GOAT – Greatest of all Time”. In German: the greatest of all time.
Günther Steiner, for example, sees it differently. “I think he is the best,” said the ex-Haas team boss about Verstappen. “He is young, he is very hungry, he is a racer and he is very talented. Everything together. The same could be said about Lewis Hamilton. He has won seven championships. Lewis is definitely a fantastic driver. But is he as ambitious and hungry as Max? I don’t know it.”

However, Steiner also emphasizes that “Max might be different in five years. We don’t have the Max we had four or five years ago. I think as a complete driver, Max is definitely the best at the moment.” So the Italian doesn’t care that the Brit has several Formula 1title has more than the Red Bull star. Both pilots definitely have many supporters. Eddi Jordan once said that Verstappen was the best for him. Sebastian Vettel thinks his long-time rival Hamilton is the greatest.
If the World Championships are anything to go by, Michael Schumacher (7 titles), Juan Manuel Fangio (5), Alain Prost and Vettel (4 each) would also be added. There were also pilots who, despite the few world championship titles, are among the best of all time. For example Ayrton Senna or Niki Lauda.
