Where Mick is refueling for the final sprint of the contract

Preparation for the next Grand Prix has begun!

Instead of returning home after Sunday’s race in Japan, Mick Schumacher (23) went straight to Texas. The next Formula 1 race will take place there on 23 October. Driving is on the Circuit of the Americas in Austin.

But Mick did not end up in the US state capital, but in Dallas. About an hour away is the Schumacher family ranch. Mick will spend his time there until the Grand Prix.

This not only saves him the unnecessary travel stress caused by back and forth, but also allows him to get used to the new time zone directly. While Japan is seven hours ahead of German time, Texas is seven hours behind.

The focus is on the upcoming races in Austin and a week later in Mexico. Mick is still without a contract for next season. He is currently fully open if his current Haas racing team continues. The remaining candidates are Nico Hülkenberg (35) and Schumi jr.

And he finally wants to prove that he still deserves the place.

The ranch has been in the family for years. They all share an enthusiasm for the horses that inhabit them, even though Schumacher’s two sons have varying degrees of enthusiasm. Mick’s sister Gina (25) is one of the best western riders in the world.

On the Schumacher estate there are not only four-legged friends, but also something that Schumi jr. beat faster. With his quad he can run across the property and clear his head.

Mick has already visited the family ranch in Texas in 2021 before the race in the United States. At the time, he said, “We have our ranch here in the US. I wouldn’t say it’s a home race for me. But it’s nice to be here and spend some time there.”
