Cologne (SID) – Former Formula 1 world champion Nico Rosberg is in favor of an early end to the internal combustion engine. “We’re almost twelve on climate change, which is a major threat,” Rosberg told Welt television. For the German economy, the rapid move away from combustion engines is a “huge problem”, but “great for climate change. I hope that a good middle ground will be found.”
When it comes to private cars, everything has to come down to e-mobility, the 36-year-old demands: “As of today, the electric drive is the most sensible technological direction of development. And I think it’s right that people are concentrating more and more on it. For the cars, for the public transport.”
