As Formula 1 heads to Miami for the first time in May, Sergio Perez demonstrated through the streets of New York, Everglades National Park and finally the streets of Miami, all in one video 11-minute scripted film titled “Race to Miami” which you can watch below.
We see the Mexican driving the 2011 Red Bull RB7, all after a phone call with his boss Christian Horner, during which the two men obviously did not understand each other because of the surrounding noise. Perez thus believes that he must make the trip New York – Miami with his F1 during the day and go to the new circuit.
It’s the first time the Mexican has taken part in such a project since joining Red Bull in 2021 and he obviously enjoyed the experience a lot.
“I loved participating in my first road trip with Red bull, I remember seeing Daniel (Ricciardo) crossing the Golden Gate Bridge and I never thought I would have the chance to participate in such a project. I think Miami is the perfect location for Formula 1, it’s a city with lots to do and a great atmosphere, the circuit looks amazing and I can’t wait to meet all the fans. Austin is like a home race for me, and I think it will be similar to Miami.”
