Officially, the season start of Formula 1 is scheduled for June 14. That day, Max Verstappen and his rivals would tear around the Montreal street circuit. It is very likely that it will be announced later today that the race is officially canceled.
The start of the season should therefore take place two weeks later in France on Paul Ricard, but for now all major events in France are on hold. The country has been severely affected by the corona virus. The organization did not yet want to answer questions about the continuation of the race.
If both races are canceled, the Red Bull Ring could open the season. The Austrian Grand Prix, won by Verstappen in the past two editions, could even organize a double Grand Prix. The F1 circus would then race in Spielberg on July 5 and 12.
Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko has already recorded a positive view of a double Austrian GP.
