Now all the resources of the Prancing Horse will be dedicated to development of the 2022 car: a choice that is not surprising, given that the team’s managers have been repeating for some time that the goal is return to compete for the victory of the World Cup from next season, when the F1 rules will totally change.
For next year’s car it will start from scratch, with more simplified aerodynamics and the freezing of power units until 2024. The tire size, with 18-inch diameter wheels.
“From the point of view of the development of the car, we have already made our decision – explained Mekies -. We are already projected into 2022 and there will be no actual updates coming to improve the weak points of the car.
