The adolescents of the TPG take to the streets to bring a message of faith and hope to the suffering
Forming adolescents and young people in messengers of the Word of God is the great mission of the Universal, through the work of the Teen Power Group (TPG in its acronym in English), which has the fundamental support of volunteers who are dedicated to teaching not only with words, but with their own example.
The suicide rate is higher in teens and young adults than in other age groups. That is why we have a mission, to give life to those who suffer regardless of culture, race or age, even if discrimination, inequality and marginality are part of the youth world today.
The strength of youth
Youth is one of the most important moments in human existence. For this reason, it is important to train the new generation with biblical principles, following in the footsteps of Jesus and consequently forming a civilized society. Above all, they will learn to take responsibility for their future.
Weekly, volunteers and teens walk the American streets carrying a message of faith and hope through the newspaper Universal News.
Many people are in awe of the generosity and ability these teens have shown to the community, promoting peace and making a difference by showing love for others.
Fulfilling the mission
One of the people who approached on the street reported that he was thinking of taking his own life, but when he read the newspaper he felt lighter and managed to overcome the thoughts of suicide.
“I left my job very anguished, discouraged, wanting to give up everything, I even thought about taking my life today, but when I received a newspaper from a teenager, I felt more relieved after reading the testimonials and I’m sure better days will come in my life, “he commented.
Doing good, loving others, giving without expecting anything in return are gestures that, over time, have fallen behind the path of many people. But TPG maintains the mission of always teaching and motivating adolescents to continue spreading the gospel and reach out to help the afflicted and desperate.
