Former WWII airport turns into truck parking, now turns into airport again

Jakarta

A airport abandoned in the UK has been converted into a truck park. The airport should be reused.

According to The Sun, here it is Manston Airport southeast of Kent City, English. The airport was first used by airplanes in 1916 during the First World War.

When World War II broke out, this airport was again used due to its strategic location for the British battle.

The airport only opened for commercial flights in the 1980s. The name of this World War I airport was changed to Kent International Airport in 1989.

After struggling with changing times, the airport was forced to close in 2014 due to loss problems. Finally, the airport was used as a truck park.

The UK government plans to reopen the airport in 2025. The development of Manston airport has been confirmed by the UK Department of Transport.

RiverOak Strategic Partners (RSP) airport owner has confirmed plans to invest £ 500 million or approximately Rp 7 billion in the development of Manston Airport, both for air and passenger flights.
