Former world champion Nico Rosberg banned from paddock due to lack of corona vaccination

Nico Rosberg has been temporarily banned from the Formula 1 paddock due to a lack of vaccination against the corona virus. That learned Sport1.

For the current Formula 1 season, all persons who have access to the paddock are obliged to have a vaccination against the corona virus. In 2021, a negative PCR test was enough. The obligation to vaccinate may only be suspended in the case of health-related risks.

“I survived a corona disease well and therefore have monster antibodies in me. I also have my antibodies tested regularly. Under these circumstances, my doctor advised me that vaccination would make absolutely no sense,” Rosberg explained to Sport1 Situation.

Last weekend, the world champion of 2016, who is considered an expert from Sky England is active, was missing in his adopted home of Monaco. Apparently Rosberg had nevertheless tried to gain access to the paddock, but was turned away by the stewards.
