Former Women’s World Champions Lose 12-0 to Male Retirees in Independent Soccer Tournament

Once again it was demonstrated that Women’s Soccer does not have to mix with Men’s Soccer, and shows how dangerous it is to allow biological men to compete in women’s leagues.

A group of former World Champion players from the United States Women’s National Team decided to compete in an independent soccer tournament in North Carolina where there are teams of former female and male soccer players.

For the first date of this competition, the footballers faced Wrexham, a Welsh club owned by Hollywood actor Ryan Reynolds. However, the professional footballers of the team from the 4th division of the English League did not play, but former footballers of this club played, with an average age of 43 years.

The women were very confident, and minutes before the match began, Women’s World Cup Champion and Olympic Gold Medalist Heather O’Reilly recorded a video insulting Ryan Reynolds and saying they were going to “crush” his soccer team.

“First, you should be here Ryan Reynolds, with your team. Second, your team is about to get crushed by us in the North Carolina Cup. Let’s go!” O’Reilly, winner of 3 Gold medals with the National Team and the 2015 World Cup, assured before a camera.

Despite all the encouragement, the former World Champions lost 12 goals to 0, at the hands of a group of 40-somethings who retired more than a decade from professional soccer.

“This message is for Ryan Reynolds (@VancityReynolds) & @RMcElhenney!”@HeatherOReilly had some words for the @Wrexham_AFC owners. 👀 pic.twitter.com/SUdR3YqI8d

It should also be noted that the match lasted only 40 minutes, and not 90 minutes like real matches, which raises the question of how many goals the men would have scored if a full match was played.

It is also important to say that even though they are retired, these are some of the best women’s footballers in the world, while the men did not even play in the First Division at their best.

Fortunately, these types of matches help show that men and women are different and have different skill levels for each sport. Furthermore, this also proves how unrealistic it is to call for co-ed soccer at a professional level, let alone for biological men to compete in women’s soccer because they self-identify as “transgender.”
