Former US President Donald Trump faces 37 charges in the classified documents case, according to an indictment released Friday, as federal prosecutors accuse Trump of illegally keeping secret documents about the US’s nuclear and defense programs.

According to the Ministry of Justice, when Trump left the White House in 2021, he took with him top secret documents from the Pentagon, the Central Intelligence Agency, the National Security Agency and other intelligence agencies.
Trump stored them in inadequate conditions at his Mar-a-Lago residence and club in Florida, where he regularly hosted large social events with thousands of guests, according to the indictment filed in federal court in Florida.
