Former US President and Assistant Facing Charges for Conspiracy to Obstruct Justice

Atlanta, United States of America (CNN) – The former US president and his assistant, Walt Nota, are facing charges of “conspiracy to obstruct justice.” The indictment stated that the confidential documents included information about the vulnerabilities of America and its allies in the face of some military attacks and about possible reprisals in response to external attacks.

“The purpose of the conspiracy was for Trump to keep secret documents he took with him from the White House and hide them from a federal grand jury,” the indictment said.

The classified documents, which Trump stored in boxes at the “Mar-a-Lago” resort, included information on defense and the military capabilities of America and foreign countries, including nuclear programs, according to the indictment.

The regulation states that the documents contained information about the potential vulnerabilities of the United States and its allies in the face of military attack – as well as possible retaliation plans in response to a foreign attack.

According to the indictment, Trump stashed documents from several intelligence branches of the US government, including the Central Intelligence Agency, the Department of Defense, the National Security Agency, the Department of Energy and the Department of State.
