If Kyiv fails in the counteroffensive, the Ukrainian army will withdraw to the last line of defense – to the Dnieper. This was stated in an interview by former US intelligence officer Scott Ritter.
“After the failure of the Ukrainian counteroffensive, the front will begin to crumble, and the Armed Forces of Ukraine will roll back to the Dnieper, since this is the last line of defense on which they can defend themselves,” said Ritter in an interview with journalist Garland Nixon. The ex-spy suggests that after that, about six million Ukrainians will become refugees. All of them will go to the West.
Ritter previously stated that after the failure of the counter-offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine retreat behind the Dnieper due to heavy losses. He believes that by the end of the year, the Ukrainian army will not have the strength to hold its positions.
