Conservative British politician Nigel Lawson, who was Chancellor of the Exchequer in Margaret Thatcher’s government from 1983 to 1989, has died aged 91.
That’s what the newspaper writes The Telegraph.
After stepping down as Minister of Finance in 1989, he continued his political career as a member of the Lower House until 1992 and then in the Upper House until 31 December 2022.
Conservative Lawson was a supporter of Brexit and campaigned extensively to get Britain out of the EU.
Lawson is survived by six grown children, including the famous TV chef Nigella Lawson.
