Former TV4 profile and trotting expert Ralf Vadsmo, 59, is dead.

He was found on Tuesday with a cardiac arrest and his life could not be saved.

“All of us, the children and relatives, are in shock”writes son Douglas Wessman to Sportbladet.

Sportbladet can tell you that TV4’s former trotting expert Ralf Vadsmo is dead.

He passed away quickly on Tuesday and his son Douglas Wessman confirms the information in a text message:

“Dad was found in cardiac arrest in bed at around 2pm yesterday and his life could not be saved. All of us, the children and relatives, are in shock and don’t believe it’s reality”.

Estimated profile in TV4’s trotting broadcasts

Ralf Vadsmo was previously a valued profile in TV4’s trotting broadcasts together with, among others, Johan Edlund and Jessica Almenäs. He shared his tips for nine years on the channel before hastily choosing to quit in 2015.

– Sometimes I feel that it would be fun to work again, of course I can miss it. Now that a few years have passed, I can admit that I miss working with trotting on TV, explained Ralf Vadsmo to Sportbladet in 2018.

The reason for the sort was, among other things, that Ralf Vadsmo had to receive a lot of hate after he was accused in the newspaper Travronden of having darkened a horse that later went on to win and that Vadsmo won a lot of money on. Ralf Vadsmo, for example, was attacked in town by a man who wanted to fight. He and TV4 also did not agree on his compensation.

“Indescribable sadness”

Ralf Vadsmo was private in recent years together with the jewelry designer Caroline Svedbom, whose jewelry has been worn by, among others, Crown Princess Victoria and Princess Sofia.

He was also very good friends with the singer Sara Varga and they were often seen out at various celebrity parties together.

“It is with indescribable sadness and shock that I received the news that one of my absolute best friends is no longer with us. Ralf is one of the finest people to walk this earth. A heart bigger than the sun and made of gold. Ralf loved life but most of all his amazing children. We all love you forever”she writes in a text message to Sportbladet.

The “Swedish Hollywood Wives” profile Åsa Vesterlund was also good friends with Ralf Vadsmo.

“Raffe was my friend for many years, met him when I was 23 years old. Knew him almost half my life, so many incredible memories. I’m incredibly shocked, he was one of my best friends. You have to look for a bigger heart, regrets the grief to the family and above all to his beautiful children”, she writes in a text message.

Ralf Vadsmo was 59 years old.
