Former The Wanted singer Tom Parker diagnosed with brain tumor | NOW

Tom Parker has been diagnosed with a brain tumor. The 32-year-old singer, who was part of the British-Irish boy band The Wanted from 2009 to 2014, announced this on Monday. OK! Magazine.

Parker was diagnosed about a month and a half ago. “I knew something was wrong, but I never expected this,” says the singer. “You don’t think something like this will ever happen to you.”

The artist says that he has asked the doctor not to share life expectancy with him. “I’m staying here, I’m going to do anything for that,” said Parker.

The singer has had several seizures in recent months. After the most recent incident, during a vacation in September, he was rushed to hospital. There he was discovered to have a grade 4 brain tumor, the most aggressive form of the disease.

On Instagram Parker says he is currently on chemotherapy and that is why he has not been heard much on social media in recent weeks.

Singer married and has a daughter

The singer was a part of The Wanted from 2009 to 2014, which had hits with All Time Low, Glad You Came, Walks Like Rihanna in Chasing The Sun. In 2014 the band broke up.

After quitting the band, Parker released a solo single and starred as Danny Zuko in the British musical version of Grease.

Parker married actress Kelsey Hardwick in 2018. In the summer of 2019 they had a daughter. The actress is currently 36 weeks pregnant with their second child.
