Former television reporter Daniel Cos-Gayon will present ‘Subiendo del cielo’ on June 9 in Madrid

ALMERIA, June 3 (EUROPE PRESS) –

The former television reporter and Civil Guard agent Daniel Cos-Gayon will present his novel ‘Subiendo del cielo’ on June 9, in which “he talks about second chances in life, the value and the concept of vocation and what is expected of oneself.

This has been indicated by the Círculo Rojo publishing house in a note, in which it has specified that the author will announce the work in the Ocho y medio bookstore from 8:00 p.m., although he will previously sign copies from 12:00 p.m. 12:45 p.m. at the exhibitor that the self-publishing firm has at number 158 of the Madrid Book Fair. In Fuerteventura, where he currently resides, the presentation will be on June 11 at 1:30 p.m., in the Letters tent of the Palacio de Congresos in Puerto del Rosario.

The editorial label assures that the story of Cos-Gayon “is a clear example that dreams can change at any moment, and that sky that seems to be reached is not always such.” “The inner journey of ourselves to discover why perhaps one day we feel anxiety. As well as that heaven that many religions promise us and that after reaching it, we may realize that what we really long for is to live,” he explained.

The publisher assures that the reader “is going to find an intense, direct and short journey where truths come to light that are often not pleasant to hear or read, but that surely serve the vast majority to empathize and dare to consider more questions about their position in the world, as individual human beings and as a society.

Cos-Gayon “leaves between the pages of what, for now, is his first book, a hymn to life, to experience everything, the good and the bad. To be aware of how exciting it is to live.”

The novel tells the story of the inhabitants of Gran Retiro, who wake up every day with the feeling of having had a previous life, so that nostalgia and sadness are the only sensations that were eliminated from their minds. Out of all the characters, there are two that this method doesn’t seem to work with. Return to feel a whole range of emotions or settle for the uniformity of harmony: that will be your dilemma.

Daniel Cos-Gayón Herrero has a degree in Business Sciences (Rey Juan Carlos University of Madrid) and a degree in Journalism and Audiovisual Communication (Carlos III University of Madrid). Between 2015 and 2020 he worked as a reporter for La Sexta, conducting interviews with athletes such as Pelé, Stephen Curry, Marc Márquez, Garbiñe Muguruza and Luka Doncic.

In 2020, he decided to leave the profession and start his career as a civil guard, after taking an opposition. He currently enjoys his life in the Main Post of Corralejo, in Fuerteventura. In this half-fact, half-fiction book, he “intermingles personal experiences with what could be a life (or dream) of a movie.”
