The German national football team lost to the Belgian team with a score of 2:3 in a home friendly match, which took place in Cologne.

Tedesco took charge of the Belgian national team in February, replacing Roberto Martinez, with whom the team won the bronze medal at the 2018 World Cup. The contract with the 37-year-old German specialist is calculated until the end of the European Championship in 2024.
In 2019-2021, the German coached Spartak, with whom he won the silver of the Russian Championship in the 2020/21 season. At the moment, the best result in the last six seasons. The coaching staff of the Belgian national team also includes three coaches who worked with Tedesco at Spartak – assistant Andreas Hinkel, goalkeeping coach Max Urvanchki and fitness coach Vladimir Chepzanovich.
In the next match, the Belgian national team will play at home with the Austrian team on June 17 in the Euro 2024 qualifying match.
