Former Slovak Prime Minister Pellegrini was elected head of the Hlas party

Pellegrini was the only candidate for president. The new party’s vice-presidents were former Minister of the Interior Denisa Saková, former Minister of Health Richard Raši and Erik Tomáš, former spokesman for Prime Minister Robert Fico.

Pellegrini left Robert Fico’s Direction-Social Democracy party after this year’s parliamentary elections and formed a new party. According to opinion polls, the Voice of Social Democracy has the highest voter support.

“We will try to win the next election,” Pellegrini said after the assembly. The former prime minister declined information that the party was funded by an oligarch or a generous sponsor. Pellegrini confirmed that the Voice party would support activities leading to early parliamentary elections. The Voice Party symbolically launched an online poll on November 17, the aim of which is to shorten the election period and early elections.
