Former Slipknot drummer Joyie Georgeison died prematurely

Former American drummer Slipknot drummer Joyie Georgeison has passed away at the age of 46, foreign media reports.

According to a statement by George’s family to Billborad, he “died of sleep on July 26, 2021.”

“Joy’s death has left us empty hearts and indescribable sadness. For those who knew Joy, he understood his wit, gentle personality, giant heart and love for everything related to family and music, ”the statement said.

Joyce’s family has asked friends, fans and the media to respect the need for privacy and peace during this incredibly difficult time. “The family will hold a private funeral service and ask the media and the public to respect their wishes,” the statement said.

Georgeison founded Slipknot in his native Iowa in 1995 with percussionist Sean Cran and bassist Paul Gray.

In December 2013, Slipknot announced that after almost two decades, George and the band’s paths were parting, although the drummer later said in interviews that he had been fired.

He did not disappear from the world of music. Later, Georgeison played in the metal music groups “Scar the Martyr”, “Vimic” and “Sinsaenum”.
