TRIBUNJOGJA.COM, SLEMAN – The joint team, the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Sleman Police and the East Depok Police succeeded in uncovering the shooting case at the Depok 1 Public Health Center building, Maguwoharjo, Depok, Sleman Regency.
Police arrested 5 suspects in this case. One of the 5 perpetrators turned out to be a former security guard at the Puskesmas who had been dismissed on March 31, 2023.
“For a simple motive, namely because the person concerned felt hurt because he was kicked out of his job as a security guard,” said the Sleman Police Chief, AKBP Yuswanto Ardi, at the Sleman Police Headquarters, Monday (15/5/2023).

The five perpetrators of the Depok 1 Public Health Center shooting who were arrested by the authorities had the initials HS (36), a resident of Berbah; then LS(35); SM (36); HA (38) and RA (44) are all residents of Mlati, Sleman.
Ardi said the shooting was carried out by the perpetrator on Thursday (21/5/2023) night at around 22.06 WIB.
The chronology of events began when HS, a former security guard at the Depok 1 Public Health Center, felt hurt because he was laid off from his job on March 31, 2023.
He then invited his friends to destroy the Puskemas building by shooting an air gun into the Puskemas room.
The goal is to provide a lesson or shock therapy.
“So the other 4, out of a sense of solidarity, helped to do the destruction together by using illegal firearms,” he said.
The shooting at the Puskemas building was carried out by HS and SM.
“HS shot 3 times. The rest were his friends,” said the Kapolresta.
In this case, the results of an investigation by the Police at the scene of the incident found 11 bullets of buckshot or golden iron balls with a size of approximately 6 millimeters.
The bullets were found under the window or in the courtyard of the Puskesmas.
The police also recovered some broken glass. Currently the firearms used by the perpetrators are being sent to the Central Java Forensic Laboratory (Labfor) for ballistic tests to be carried out to determine the destructive power of the shot.
As for the five suspects, they are suspected of violating the Emergency Law number 12 of 1951 concerning possession of firearms and combined with Article 170 of the Criminal Code subsidiary Article 405 of the Criminal Code.
