UOL learned that Marcelo Teixeira went with Marcelo Teixeira Filho to Neymar’s father’s office in Santos. When contacted, Marcelo and Neymar did not respond to the report’s contacts.
Marcelo Teixeira, aware of the news about the possibility of Neymar leaving PSG (FRA), asked to speak with Neymar father for the chance for Menino da Vila to return in 2024. The 31-year-old striker’s future is still undecided.
Marcelo was at a meeting of the Advisory Board of Santos last Monday to try to help the current president, Andres Rueda, to ward off the crisis which puts the team in the relegation zone. The Advisory Board is made up of former presidents of the club and the Deliberative Council.
Marcelo, who should run in this year’s elections, took advantage of his good relationship with Neymar senior to discuss the possibility of returning. The former president heard that Neymar will return to play for Santos soon, but he does not know exactly when. The striker’s priority in Brazil belongs to Peixe.
Neymar senior will have a meeting in London this Friday to talk about his son’s future at PSG. Barcelona and Arab clubs are some of the alternatives. With the international transfer window closed in Brazil, Santos could only dream of the star’s return in 2024.
