Al-Marsad Newspaper: Former Russian diplomat Vyacheslav Matuzov revealed the reasons for not punishing the Wagner Group forces after the rebellion against the Russian army.
Matuzov said, during an interview with Al-Hadath channel: I do not think that Russian President Vladimir Putin will punish the Wagner Group because “Wagner” showed its combat capabilities well during the battles in Bakhmut.
He continued: In addition to the personality of Yevgeny Prigozhin, who is a businessman and not a military man, he used to finance and monitor the distribution of funds, noting: Wagner’s forces received more than a billion dollars within a year.
