Stephen Byrne, former 2FM presenter and RTE star, has revealed that leaving the broadcaster and moving to Australia was the “best decision” he ever made. Having worked with RTE since he was 17 and feeling the pressure of being associated with the broadcaster, Stephen decided to take a chance and leave. His move Down Under has been a success, and he has no regrets about walking away from RTE. Stephen explained that leaving RTE was both a professional and personal decision, as he wanted to figure out who he was outside of the huge broadcaster. By stepping away, he has learned a lot about himself and maintained a good relationship with his former employer. Stephen admits that if he had left RTE four years earlier, he might have focused more on partying than work, but now he feels more focused and refreshed.
