After GERB and the party of the former Minister of War in the second cabinet of Boyko Borissov, Nikolay Nenchev, the Bulgarian Agrarian Union supports Prof. Anastas Gerdjikov and Colonel Nevyana Miteva as candidates for president and vice president.
Today, Nikolay Nenchev, whose formation was part of the Reformist bloc, without mentioning party names, called on the democratic community to support the same candidacy, even if it has already decided to stand behind another. According to him, the support for the presidential candidate couple is unconditional, as it is the most worthy, and Prof. Gerdjikov has the intellect, wisdom and will for the unity of the nation.
Today, Prof. Anastas Gerdjikov reiterated that he will not refuse the support of any party. Asked about Democratic Bulgaria, he said he had not spoken to the union and said the right-wing parties had been fragmented for years. Regarding the support for Lozan Panov, he added: “For the specific support – it is logical, an important topic for” Democratic Bulgaria “, as well as for us. It is important to talk about judicial reform. This will lead to the rule of law.”
Asked about the campaign: “We have not spoken harshly to anyone. We will run a tolerant campaign. So far, everyone has said so and few have done so. We apologize when someone lies. We can’t help but ask.”
On Thursday, Prof. Anastas Gerdjikov apologized to another candidate, Lozan Panov, who said he had ties to the MRF. Then Panov pointed to the party The “new time” for this relationship.
