It emerges from the recent imprisonment order from Østre Innlandet district court on Friday.
The man in his 20s has been convicted for sexual offenses three times previously. He has also been a participant in a Norwegian reality show.
The accused was apprehended by the police on Thursday at 13.30. He is charged with kidnapping or complicity in this.
– It’s very heavy. He thinks it is very stressful, says the man’s defender, Klaus Munkeby Linaae, to TV2.
On the night of Sunday 2 January, a 20-year-old man died attacked and abducted from his childhood home in Vingelen in Tolga municipality.
The parents of the 20-year-old witnessed the perpetrators shot the son, before he was away from them for about 20 hours. The police immediately launched a large-scale operation to find those involved.
TV 2 has information that they stopped by an apartment in Hamar, before they finally ended up in Oslo. The 20-year-old eventually appeared on a train to Gardermoen, where he borrowed a telephone and notified the family that he was safe.
The police are now working intensely to map out what happened in the hours he was away, and who is behind it. They still do not rule out more arrests in the case. So far, four people have been charged and arrested.
The accused man who was imprisoned on Friday was interrogated by the police for several hours on Thursday.
– He denies criminal guilt and that is why he wanted to be released today, the defender says.
