Former RC Lens, Chaouki Ben Saada ends his sports career

This Saturday evening, SC Bastia lost 1-0 against Rodez during the 37th day of Ligue 2. A special match for the former player of the RC Lens, Chaouki Ben Saada.

Indeed, the Tunisian international who wore the jersey Sang et Or between 2011 and 2012 was playing the last match of his career. At 37, the player has decided to retire after having started with the Professionals in 2001 with spells in Bastia, Nice, the RC LensArles-Avignon, Troyes to finally return to Bastia in 2019 to conclude a rich career.

Asked after the match, Chaouki Ben Saada was very moved and hopes to continue a new career as a trainer within the Corsican team: “ It’s hard, it’s a beautiful evening. It’s hard because we’ve been in this for more than 20 years. Imagine that everything will stop, even if we will continue to play ball for fun. To experience emotions like these is what I wish for everyone. […] I’ve always said that I wanted to get involved with young people so that they could experience these kinds of emotions. I will talk about it with President Claude Ferrandi. He knows my love for the club. We’re going to start graduating next year. »
