John de Jong will not be the new sporting director of Club Brugge after all, reports The newspapaer. Other clubs are also interested in the former director of PSV, who has pulled the plug on discussions with Club himself.

A month ago, the news emerged that Club Brugge was seriously considering bringing in De Jong, who left PSV in September 2022. The Dutchman had good discussions with the Belgian top club, but asked for more time to think about it. Other clubs are also angling for the technical director. Now De Jong has decided not to move to Bruges.
It is not clear where the future of the native of The Hague lies, nor are the names of the other clubs that are showing interest. It is certain that Club Brugge will have to resume its search for a new sporting director.
