Tasikmalaya News, (harapanrakyat.com), – Although they are ex-convicts, they do not dampen their intention to continue studying the Qur’an.

This is because those who are members of the Former Tasikmalaya Prisoners Foundation (Manasix) have the principle that it’s never too late to worship, especially learning the Koran.

The Manasix Foundation itself is located at Jalan Lengkong, Kota Tasikmalaya, West Java. Meanwhile, ex-convicts who studied the Qur’an in Ramadan this year are the majority of drug cases recidivists.

Monitoring HR Online, Sunday (2/5/2021), every day they gather to learn the Qur’an as well as tadarus.

The head of the Manasix Foundation, Asep Ugar, said the place was a gathering place for ex -prisoners, who intended to repent. Besides the prisoner who wants to erase the sins he has committed during his life.

“This month of Ramadan, we have a program to learn the Koran and recitation of the Qur’an. His name is ‘Ngabar’ or reciting the Koran together, ”he told HR Online, Sunday (2/5/2021).

Every day, those who are dominated by drug case recidivists congregate at the secretariat of the Manasix Foundation to learn the Koran.

Meanwhile, the ustadz who taught them the Koran is also a former inmate, who has been able to recite the Koran while in prison.

Meanwhile, the Ngabar program itself, explained Asep, originated from a shortage of ex-convicts while in prison.

“So, they are less so close to the Qur’an. Therefore, they intend to repent and learn to run, ”he explained.

According to Asep, even though they are adults, these former inmates admit that they are not ashamed to study. Although learning from the beginning is memorizing hijaiyah letters.

“Because it is never too late to do good. According to Manasix’s vision, that is to have good intentions, work and be useful, “he said.

Asep also invited ex-convicts, both in Tasikmalaya and throughout Indonesia, to always intend to move back to the right path.

“Moreover, this month of Ramadan with Al-Quran tadarus, there are many rewards. Apart from that, it is to heal the hearts of ex-convicts who are admitted negatively while in prison, “he concluded. (Apip/R5/HR-Online)
