Politician PDIP who is also the former Presidential Spokesman, Johan Budi | SP, met President Joko Widodo at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta. A one-on-one meeting between Jokowi and Johan Budi was held this afternoon.
Johan admitted that he asked the Palace to meet Jokowi. However, he refused to reveal the contents of the meeting.
“No talk about the spokesperson, no talk The issue is related to the spokesman, but I was more in touch with and wanted to convey what is happening in the community directly to the President,” said Johan at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta, as quoted from the voice recording received, Wednesday (1/12).
Johan also denied that the meeting was related to a cabinet reshuffle. He denied being offered the position of deputy minister at the meeting.
The DPR RI member admitted that he only gave Jokowi an overview of the dynamics in society. Johan said the meeting was colored more by jokes because he and Jokowi had not seen each other for a long time.
“Yes, like in the electoral district, how do I deal with the covid pandemic, for example. And I was also from the electoral district some time ago. So, covid is declining, people’s lives have also started,” he said.
Previously, the position of presidential spokesman was vacant since Fadjroel Rachman left. Fadjroel was appointed as Ambassador of Kazakhstan as well as Tajikistan.
Johan Budi once held the position of spokesman for the president in Jokowi’s first term. Johan left the chair because he was elected as a Member of the Indonesian House of Representatives in the 2019 Election.
