Former President Trump’s Controversial Gun Store Visit Raises Legal Concerns

MADRID, 26 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The campaign of former President of the United States Donald Trump has had to confront the statements made by the magnate in a gun store, where he confessed that he wanted to buy a gun even though, by law, he cannot do so due to the various judicial fronts that has open.

The images of the controversy were spread on social networks by Trump’s spokesman, Steven Cheung, who ended up removing them. They were captured in a gun shop in Summerville, South Carolina, during an unscheduled stop in the Republican Party primary campaign.

Trump looks at another person’s Glock pistol and then comments, “I want to buy one.” The person in question responds and the president then insists: “No, I want to buy one.”

The message shared initially assumed that Trump acquired the weapon, something the campaign later denied in statements to NBC News. North American legislation prevents accused persons from purchasing a weapon and Trump, with four criminal cases already open, has accumulated more than 90 charges.

The issue of guns is also a recurring debate in the United States, which is revived with each mass shooting. The Government admits that in 2021 more than 48,800 people died due to related incidents and these cases are already the main cause of death among children and adolescents.
