Former US President Donald Trump is not going to accept a plea deal in the criminal indictment with federal charges against him for the alleged mishandling of secret documents found in his Mar-a-Lago mansion in Florida. so it declared last Sunday his lawyer, Alina Habba, in an interview with Fox News.

“No, I could never imagine that. I know I would never advise him. Especially when he has done nothing wrong. You agree to a deal to make something go away. This is an admission of guilt. He would never admit guilt, since there was nothing wrong with him. the declassification of the documents and take the documents with you,” Habba said.

He noted that “the only thing that went wrong was the raid” on the former president’s residence and “the two-tier justice system.” He stressed that the family of the current president, Joe Biden, in whose residences additional classified documents from his time as vice president were also found, “are being treated in a completely different way than the Trump family.”
