Former U.S. President Donald Trump was ordered to pay hundreds of billions of won in damages for defamation of a sexual harassment victim.

Trump said, “This is all Biden’s witch hunt,” and announced his intention to immediately appeal.

Attention is being paid to how long Trump’s judicial risks, which have been predicted in the future, can be overcome with this type of speech.

On the 26th, local time, a jury in the Southern District Court of New York sentenced former President Trump to pay 100 billion won in damages.

The argument is that Trump caused writer Gene Carroll “substantial harm by falsely claiming that she was a victim of sexual assault.”

Gene Carroll’s actual compensation for damages is approximately 24 billion won.

Added to this was 86 billion won in punitive damages.

Considering that Trump is a billionaire, the compensation was calculated at an amount that could actually be a blow.

The trial began with Gene Carroll publishing a book claiming that she had been sexually assaulted by Trump at a department store 28 years ago, and in May of last year, the court ruled that sexual harassment occurred, although sexual assault was not proven, and ordered compensation of approximately 6.6 billion won.

Trump was later accused in a media interview after making a secondary attack, saying, “She is a crazy and dirty woman, and the claims are all false.”

Trump, who stormed out of the courtroom when the trial became unfavorable, strongly protested by posting on social media.

He said the “ridiculous court decision” was “a witch hunt ordered by Biden targeting him and the Republican Party,” and that “this is not America.”

″I will appeal immediately. I’ll leave that ridiculous jury aside. This outcome cannot stop us. We will keep fighting. We lost today, but we will win in the end.″

There are predictions that the outcome of Trump’s presidential election this year will also vary depending on judicial risk.

A ruling on allegations of asset value manipulation by Trump and the Trump Organization is scheduled for the end of this month, and four criminal cases indicted on 91 counts remain.

Attention is being paid to how long the ‘Trump rhetoric’ of trying to rally supporters by insisting that it is political oppression whenever he faces a judicial risk will work.
