“I am back!”Former US President Donald Trump is back on Facebook
After a two-year ban, the Republican has spoken out on Facebook again. The 76-year-old is running for US President for the third time.
That’s what it’s about

After a two-year ban, Trump can use Facebook again.
-
Now he apparently wants to use social media again for his third candidacy as US President.
-
The Republican is also showing presence again on Trump.
Former US President Donald Trump has returned to Facebook after having his account suspended for more than two years. “I’m back!” He wrote in capital letters on the social network. The 76-year-old, who is already campaigning for his third attempt at the highest state office, shared an old video in which he apologizes to his supporters for keeping them waiting – it is complicated.
He had already used the same clip when the video platform YouTube announced on Friday that it was welcoming Trump back.
Banned after storming Capitol
The Facebook parent company Meta announced in January that it would reactivate Trump’s account. It was blocked in connection with the storming of Trump supporters on the US Capitol on January 6, 2021, when Joe Biden’s election victory was to be confirmed there. Trump’s access to Facebook and Instagram was restored on February 9, the company confirmed.
The public should be able to hear what politicians are saying — “the good, the bad, and the ugly — so they can make informed decisions at the ballot box,” wrote Nick Clegg, Meta’s vice president for global affairs at the time.
