Former President Donald Trump predicts collapse of US economy and destruction by Green New Deal

The collapse of the United States economy during 2024, and before the presidential elections, is what the former president, and possible candidate for said elections, Donald Trump, has predicted. Likewise, he predicted that the Green New Deal, promoted by the Administration of the White House occupant, Joe Biden, will “destroy” his country.

“Bird of ill omen”?

In an interview he gave to conservative political commentator Lou Dobbs, Trump expressed his prediction for the US economy: “I hope that the collapse [económico] be in the next 12 months, because I don’t want to be Herbert Hoover,” he noted, alluding to the US president during whose term the Great Depression began.

Furthermore, the former president described the current state of the country’s economy as “fragile”, highlighting that “the only cause” of its functioning lies in what was done during his administration.

He added that the Green New Deal, promoted by the current Administration of Joe Biden, will “destroy” his country because it spends a lot of money building infrastructure that “is not good, but ecological.” “And now all that is going down because it doesn’t work economically,” he added, noting that energy prices have risen 20 times.

“There is no lack of reason in this case. [a Trump]. Because we are talking about a country that has a public debt of 34 trillion dollars, […] It is an astronomical figure,” explains international analyst Paco Arnau.

According to the expert, “the wars that the US is starting around the world are serving the military-industrial complex well, because in some way they are serving to put patches on the economic issue, along with the destabilization of entire continents, as is the case of Europe,” observes Arnau.
