Forty-eight-year-old Nicol Lenertová was etched in the viewers’ memory as a TV Nova news anchor, where she was paired with Karel Voříšek (59) between 1999 and 2002. Her sudden departure surprised many viewers. Twenty-one years after leaving television, she looks perhaps even better than in her youth.
She became known to the public through modeling in 1994, when she became Miss North Bohemia and advanced to the finals of Miss Czech Republic. Her modeling career lasted until 1997, when she exchanged it for a presenter’s post at TV Nova. At first she moderated Sportovní noviny, but over time she worked her way up to Karl Voříšek, with whom she formed a popular pair of presenters of the main news in 1999 – 2002.
