Daryono, who was part of the Persija squad when he won the 2018 League 1, died at the age of 26, Monday (9/11) morning.
Indonesian football must be left behind by one of its talents because of the destiny of the Almighty. The former Persija Jakarta goalkeeper, Daryono, died at the age of 26.
This news was received on Monday morning, November 9, as the player who is now defending the Lampung Rhino was reported to have died after nearly two months of battling illness.
The official Instagram account of Badak Lampung reports this sad news, even with Persija. Daryono himself was part of the Persija squad when he won the 2018 Liga 1.
It was not obtained in detail what kind of illness Daryono was suffering from, but he was said to have experienced a dengue hemorrhagic fever and had been undergoing treatment for a long time.
“All BLFC management & officials are sorry for the death of one of the Laskar Saburai family, Daryono. Hopefully the deceased will have the best place by his side,” wrote Badak Lampung, via the club’s official Instagram account.
“Thank you to all the ‘wagheis’ who have helped during Daryono’s treatment. We can do it but God has other plans. Today is very different, today will be forever different. Goodbye Daryono, we will always remember you forever,” continued they.
Apart from being a goalkeeper, Daryono is also an active member of the Indonesian National Army (TNI). He was born in Semarang on March 5, 1994 and is one of the football products from the Salatiga Education and Training Center.
Daryono underwent treatment in the ICU when he was in Lampung, then his family asked him to return to Jakarta and take medication in the capital city on the last week of October.
During his career, Daryono orbited with Persija U-21 and was then promoted to the main squad to become Andritany Ardhiyasa’s goalkeeper until the 2019 season.
For the sake of more playing minutes, Daryono was loaned by Persija to Badak Lampung in the 2019 season. He made 20 appearances and was promising enough to get a permanent move to Laskar Saburai.
His figure is known to be polite and easy to mingle among the Lampung Rhino players and Persija. Having received punishment from the AFC because of his emotions on the field while defending Persija, it does not negate the fact that the deceased was a good figure off the field.
