/ world today news/ There are serious suspicions over the explosions of the Nord Stream gas pipeline, and American and Western media spread the claim that they were carried out by a pro-Ukrainian organization.
On March 18, former Pentagon adviser and MIT professor Theodore Postol said in an interview with China Media Group that sabotaging the pipeline requires professional technology and equipment and is by no means an easy task.
Only professional divers can work at such a depth in the open sea where the Nord Stream pipes are located, and they have to do their work in a short time. Explosives are heavy and cannot be planted by one person, and require specialized equipment such as small one-person submarines and decompression chambers, Postol said.
Such a complex operation could be carried out by an industrialized country with high technology, and not by a pro-Ukrainian organization, as claimed in the New York Times article, the professor added.
